ERIC ELLINGTON

Owner

With over 30 years of experience working with NASCAR, Eric has been around the track enough times to know everything there is to know about cars. He started working on pit crews at the age of 20 for Dale Earnhardt Sr., Richard Petty and several others. As time passed, Eric began working in the Fabrication Shop for Brian Vickers, quickly becoming the shop foreman. As his career at NASCAR continued to progress, he moved to team Hendrick and hung bodies for Terry Labonte and his predecessor, Kyle Busch.  From there, Eric moved to the Aero Engineering department, focusing on the superspeedway program. He won 3 championships with Hendrick--1 with Jeff Gordon and 2 with Stewart-Haas. Within the Aero Engineering department, Eric picked up over 100 counts of downforce and won another championship in 2014 with Kevin Harvick.

Simultaneous to his NASCAR career, Eric built hot rods out of a shop that he and his dad built. Their projects include custom builds, full restorations and partial restorations. Today, his shop, Ellington Rod & Custom continues to grow. His success has made ERC a highly sought after shop where clients are eager to be added to the waitlist.

SHAIN

Technician Lead

Shain's interest in cars and motorcycles began at an early age, ultimately leading to decades of knowledge in mechanics and fabrication.  He enjoys multitasking and having creative freedom each day at work. Shain brings great attention-to-detail to each project and tackles each obstacle head-on. As a Marine, he spent five years as a helicopter mechanic before working on planes and car bodies. Prior to becoming a trusted subcontractor for ERC, Shain spent 27 years working for NASCAR as a fabricator and a research developer.

KENT

Technician Lead

With several decades of experience, Kent's knowledge has proven to be invaluable to Ellington Rod & Custom. He brings so much passion to the shop that it has made him a great leader and teacher to the rest of the team.  Kent started his auto career at the age of 13 when he was gifted car parts to build his first vehicle.  During that process, he became a self-taught mechanic and landed his first official position at a garage by 16 years of age. Prior to joining the ERC team, Kent has owned and operated a handful of auto shops and hot rod garages. Most recently, Kent's Hot Rod Garage.

JOE

Technician

Joe brings over 35 years of auto experience to Ellington Rod & Custom. Originally from upstate New York, we're grateful he eventually made his way south.  Joe fell in love with the art of restoring cars and the problem-solving skills required throughout the process.  Over the years, he has honed his craft and excels in fabrication and wiring.

LOGAN

Technician & Courier

Logan began learning about cars at the age of 13  and with a little guidance from a family member.  At 16, he began working at an auto restoration shop where he focused on metal fabrication, auto and body work, and painting.  After a couple years, he leaned into a Lube Technician position where he mostly worked on oil and tire changes. Needing more of a challenge, he moved into diagnostics where he became an exceptional problem-solver; finding the problem and then fixing the problem. Logan enjoys the auto industry because each project is different. He loves finding ways to put all the "puzzle pieces" together.
